DoTA 2 Silencer Cosplay Progress 8

For DragonCon 2014, a group of my friends and I are planning to attend DragonCon as a group from DoTA 2. The character I have chosen is the Silencer. This costume will definitely push my limits as to my current skills in costume making, as we plan on entering the Masquerade and participate in the Cosplay Parade.

Here are a few shots of how I created the bracers for this outfit. I used craft foam sheets to create the segments of the bracers, over-lapping them to provide the ridges that can be seen on the character. I then used Worbla to slowly cover the entire piece, gently pressing in the edges to show off the ridges and segments. Next will be to cover it in Gesso and then paint it.
