DoTA 2 Silencer Cosplay Progress 10

For DragonCon 2014, a group of my friends and I are planning to attend DragonCon as a group from DoTA 2. The character I have chosen is the Silencer. This costume will definitely push my limits as to my current skills in costume making, as we plan on entering the Masquerade and participate in the Cosplay Parade.

After some issues with the paint not turning out how I wished it, I finally managed to get the look that I wanted with the helm and other parts of the outfit. Here you can see the helm covered in Gesso primer (which allows paint to adhere to the plastic), with a base coat of purple. Finally I added the gold elements to the design. Once I was happy with the outcome, I finished it all off with a top coat of polyurethane clear.
